Dear colleagues and friends,

World Conference on Regenerative Medicine 2011 and three days full of superb contributions to the current scientific knowledge and opinions of Regenerative Medicine came to a satisfying end in Leipzig.

Approximately 1,000 guests from more than 40 countries came to Leipzig and discussed the latest results and progresses within Regenerative Medicine. We look back contently to over 400 scientific contributions that highlighted topics such as Stem Cell Research, Cell Therapy, Tissue Engineering, Biomaterials and its molecular basics, as well as Regulatory Strategies for the translation of therapeutic approaches into the clinical practice.

I am very happy that so many respectable scientists as well as many young researchers used this platform to present their latest results with us. I want to thank those who gave their scientific input and made the conference entertaining and effectively valuable. Every single lecture and every poster helped to create an informative, interesting, and profitable conference. Last but not least I have to express my deepest thanks to all partners and sponsors. This conference with its high and much praised quality was made possible with their help.

The importance of the field of Regenerative Medicine is continuously growing. It is even becoming more visible to the public eye. That is why I am very happy that we have fulfilled our duty to stimulate a communication platform that pushes new ideas, partnerships, and synergies in our scientific processes.
